New Orleans Pelicans were established in 2002. Their name was the New Orleans Hornets. After some time they changed their name to New Orleans Pelicans. They played their home games at their Home Arena. They have qualified for playoffs nine times.

History

New Orleans Pelicans were founded in 2002. They have struggled in their early years but now they are shining stars. In 2005, the authorization relocated to Oklahoma City where they played as New Orleans/ Oklahoma City Hornets. Before returning to New Orleans they announced that they are changing their name from New Oklahoma City Hornets to New Orleans Pelicans.
