New York Knicks

New York Knicks was founded in 1946. The Knicks didn't have to struggle in the past early years, they played their playoffs successfully. After that, in 1950, they appeared in three consecutive matches of the NBA finals, but they were unable to proceed and lost. In 1960, Red Holzma came to lead the team. Holzman successfully guided the team, and the Knicks had mixed success, including six playoff appearances, but they failed to participate in the finals.

History

The New York Knicks was established in 1946 by Ned Irish who was a member of the NBA. Joe Lapchick was the first head coach of the New York Knicks. In 1950, the Knicks made 3 consecutive appearances in the matches but were unable to win the matches after that in 1956, Lapchick resigned and then the team became to failure. It was not that long. In 1960, when Red Holzman led the team with passion and hard work the team started moving toward success. Red Holzman put all his efforts into the team and successfully guided them to the NBA championship from 1970 to 1973. In 1980, the Knicks had mixed success and had 6 playoff appearances. They have won their first Division Title in 2012-13 it’s almost 19 years.
